Do you need reasons to visit the Algarve in autumn? The Algarve has different characteristics from season to season, and autumn, the most melancholic season, wins a place in the hearts of those who come at this time of year. The region takes on new colours, the leaves become yellow, the sky is shrouded in orange light at the end of the day, and the best thing is that the temperatures are still pleasant to take long walks outdoors without the typical summer crowds. Autumn in the Algarve brings traditional festivals, roasted chestnuts, empty beaches and breathtaking landscapes, all of which make it a great place to explore the region's authenticity.

Watch the sunset in autumn in the Algarve
We've already mentioned that the end of the day in the Algarve has very different magic when experienced in autumn. There are many places in the region where you can sit and admire the most beautiful natural spectacle. Thanks to the still mild temperatures, you can watch the sun sink to the horizon line without the clouds getting in the way. One of the most visited places to watch the sunset is in Sagres, more precisely at Cape St Vincent. Go early, find a comfortable spot and take some snacks and a jacket, because it's windy and cold in this area. Check out this sunrise and sunset table for exact sunset times in Sagres.

Halloween in the Algarve
Although it is not a typical Portuguese celebration, Halloween has already conquered Portugal. There are activities here to enjoy with the family and create spooky memories.
Halloween at Zoomarine - From 19 to 31 October, the Algarve's most famous theme park offers two weeks of spooky surprises. During the usual street performances, new characters will roam the park. For the little ones, there will be special make-up stations and a 4D cinema with the film Spooky Park, where you have to be afraid of your own shadow. Get your Zoomarine tickets at our reception.
Fun Day Halloween - The Portimão Arena becomes a stage for pure fun for two days. From 29 to 30 October, this place will be transformed into an amusement park with giant bouncy castles, slides, climbing walls, face painting, traditional games, balloon modelling and much more. See the website where you can buy the tickets. Accompanying persons over 17 years of age do not pay admission.
Halloween in Golfland - An afternoon of golf might be the best activity for adults and children to get spooked. In Alvor this weekend, there will be live music with DJ and even a prize for the spookiest Halloween mask. The adults can enjoy the terraces while the kids play on the mini golf course.
